It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Parky” Parkinson on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024. Parky, a beloved husband, father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, left this world peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Pine Meadow Nursing Home in Northbrook.
As the owner of Parky’s Dollar Store, he brought joy to so many with his infectious sense of humor. Parky will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May we find comfort in the cherished memories we shared with Parky, and may his spirit live on in the laughter and love he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, dear Parky. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Family and friends are encouraged to wear their most vibrant and colourful clothing for Parky at the Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 5-8pm. We shall honour and Celebrate his life in the Chapel on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:00am. A Graveside Interment Service will take place in Union Cemetery, Elgin St. Cobourg on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00pm.
