Passed away in British Columbia on Tuesday, March 5th 2024.

Guy had a number of passions through his life including photography, environmental issues, car rallying, travel and ice racing. His greatest interest though was astronomy sparked by the arrival of Halley's comet in 1986. He was heavily involved in the Toronto Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada where he first served as a councillor in 1987 as well as a 3-year term as President from 2000-2003. He travelled with RASC groups and on his own to witness 8 total solar eclipses, transits of Venus across the sun, and to follow his astronomical adventures over 5 continents.

Guy worked most of his career with TV Ontario, an educational public broadcaster. He carried that love of education into his activities volunteering for public outreach and informational sessions. Most recently he was heavily involved in the official recognition of the North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve (now known as the North Frontenac Astronomy Park) where he could be found on clear nights with his telescope and binoculars sharing his astronomical knowledge and interest.

Guy had a great sense of humour and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and connections he's made around the world.
