As Canada Post sinks into the sunset of poorly managed businesses, It seems aimed at taking Independent and even all newspapers with it or to require all mail recipients to accept junk/flyer mail in order to bolster its revenue. Its latest policy says that if a newspaper has a (one page) flyer in it, the newspaper is itself…a flyer! And is not to be delivered.
I don’t want flyers but I do like the pleasure of reading Frontenac News …even when the editor is obviously wrong! Does anyone remember Miracle on 34th Street? I suggest we all save our junk mail and send it to the head office of Canada Post, 2701 Riverside Dr Ottawa, ON, K1A 0B1 for a Christmas present.
When Canada Post does succumb, what will the Board Members do to offset the loss? Deliver flyers?
