Shannon Olivier and her daughter Kiki came to PCPS last week to present Mother-Daughter Connections,
Shannon is a mix of Cayuga, Chippewa and Potawatomi but classifies it as Ojibwa and Cayuga. Migizi Mishkiki (aka Kiki) is a mix of her mom as well as Blackfoot (Alberta) and Blackfeet (Montana). They are working hard to maintain their cultural background by attending Ceremonies, and reaching out to elders and fellow speakers.
They shared their knowledge, dances, and songs with students and staff at PCPS for Orange Shirt Day.
