Well, the warm weather has arrived and along with it rain showers and those little flying things.  Please be mindful when sending your children outside.  Spray with mosquito repellant and check for ticks when they come in.

Birthday wishes to Adele Hamelin (nee Day).  You're not getting older, just better.  Submitted by your slightly older friend (Brenda Crawford).

The Harrowsmith Beautification Committee is arranging to place six (6) planters throughout the village in the next couple of weeks for flowers.  Anyone willing to help out in planting or ongoing maintenance please call Adele Hamelin (613-376-6665).

On hand were members of the public, municipal staff, and members of the Tay Valley Heritage Properties Township Working Group. The new park has an interactive board as well as a plaque that talks about Maberly’s connection to Leonard Cohen; Canadian poet icon. There is a place to park, two new pic-nic tables, and a canoe/kayak launch. See accompanying photo.
