Patricia Simmons, 93, of Hamilton, Ont., passed away peacefully at Moira Place, Tweed, Ont., on November 9, 2023. Pat was born on August 30, 1930 to William and Clara Jay in Hamilton, Ont.
In 1950, Pat married Don Simmons in Hamilton, Ont. Pat and Don went on to have two sons, Jeff & Mark. Together they built successful businesses from the ground up.
Pat and Don worked side-by-side owning and operating Simmons Hardware & Sherwood Park Campground. Pat later went on to own and operate Strawberry Fields gift shop with her sister Sylvia.
Pat was predeceased by her loving husband, Don. She’s lovingly remembered by her sons Jeff (Donalda), Mark, her grandchildren Jay (Michelle), Matt and her great grandchildren Rhéa, Owen and Lydia. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia and sisters-in-law Muriel and Doreen (John).

Celebration of Life will be held at Dutch Mill Country Market, Dundas, Sunday, November 19, at 2pm. For those who wish, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario or Moira Place (Tweed).
