Sharbot Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the attempted murder of two Sharbot Lake residents.
At 3:06 AM OPP were called to a Sharbot Lake residence where a male was outside with a knife. OPP arrested the male and went inside the residence where they located a 54 year old male and a 52 year old female suffering from stab wounds. The male was transported to Kingston Hospital and the female to Perth Hospital, where they are both recovering from non life threatening injuries.
Charged is 40 year old Bradley Quintal of Sharbot Lake. He appeared in Kingston court for a bail hearing today. Qintal is charged with two counts of attempted murder, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The incident took place at a rented house near the Sharbot Lake Country Inn. The landlord of the house reports that the two victims are Jimmy Badour and Gaye Kish.
Mr. Badour is described as an excellent tenant who is always busy repairing and improving the property.
