NDP and Green Parties start to gear up for a spring vote.
March 14 could be a very colourful day in Sharbot Lake. At 2 p.m. the orange colours of the NDP will be flying at the Anglican Church hall, where a riding association will be formed for the new Lanark/Frontenac/Lennox & Addington riding that will come into being prior to the next Federal election, expected later this spring, notwithstanding recent events in Ottawa.
At the same time, the Green Party of Canada will be choosing their local candidate for the upcoming election in the Oso hall, right across a small parking lot from the NDP meeting.
The NDP candidate nomination meeting will be set by the riding executive that will come into being on the 14th, probably for a date in April.
