Sydenham Legion Presents ATV to Canada Day Raffle Winner

Congratulations to Mario Pietrangeli (Scrap Man) for having the winning ticket to the ATV on our Canada Day draw. Mario is pictured on the right with draw coordinator Brent VanLuven. We hope you enjoy your new ride and thank you. Bob Richardson Branch 496 Sydenham really appreciates all the support we get from the community and we do what we can to give back. We have been able to do some much needed upgrades and updates at the Branch this year and next on our list is replacing the ramp, deck and stairs at the entrance to the hall. Our fundraisers and activities help us to keep operating and provide a service to our community, our members and our Veterans. Members and non-members are welcome to come to our advertised activities. Activities on the go include more live music planned for the fall. We have a Bass Fishing Derby coming up in August. Every Thursday afternoon there is a great bunch playing crokinole, new players welcome. We have Amherst Island Charity Radio Bingo at our location Thursdays at 6pm. Bingo sheets can be purchased at the bar and players can stay and play or play at home. We still have drop in Friday night darts twice a month during the summer. Downstairs lounge is open Tuesday to Saturday from 2 pm to 6pm with longer hours on Fridays.
