Despite the rain…Holiday Country Manor’s first annual Oktoberfest inFrontenac this past Saturday was a great success. It was in the long enclosed porch that opened onto the front yard with a large tented area that housed the stage.
This was a celebration of German culture. Spencer Evans trio rocked the stage the entire afternoon with a blend of classic tunes, polkas and swing jive reggae.
Fresh German foods were served. There was fresh baked Bavarian Soft Pretzels, Pork Schnitzel on soft bun and Beef Rouladin with mashed potatoes. Special ly designed Marty G Oktoberfest Pies were created for the event. All these were paired perfectly with locally produced quality DFC mustards.
Lots of Perth Brewery Oktobrefest beers were flowing with a great selection of cocktails and shooters—all from the long bar in the porch .
Jeff and Core, owners of the Country Manor, were pleased with the turnout.
‘It was our first tented event that allowed us to accommodate this size of group and be able go ahead comfortably rain or shine’.
They look forward to next year.
