We were welcomed with a tour of the facility and had the chance to ask questions and learn more about the important work being done every single day behind the scenes. The dedication and passion of the volunteers and organizers are nothing short of inspiring.

Our Henderson volunteers have really spiffed up the public flower beds with red and white petunias to promote Canadian patriotism, and pride in our heritage and furthermore that we are not for sale. Thanks to all who are placing Canadian flags in their yards by their mail boxes- we love you to pieces.

This Sunday June 29 our Kennebec and District Historical Society are hosting their ever famous and time tested old fashioned strawberry social and bake sale at the Kennebec hall from 1-3 at a cost of $7.00 a serving. Come out and visit and enjoy some of that famous whipped cream and super duper strawberries.
My word, our Henderson United Yard Sale wound up with a blast of bargains and volunteers coming out of the woodwork to lend a hand. It was great to visit with some of the older families and descendants of families from the past: Steiger, Donaldson, Gray, Weese, Kirk, Newton, Gurnsey, Cowick, Taddeson, Peterson, Deline and all whom I inadvertently missed- due to my chatting too much and not paying attention!! We love you all tremendously, and now our church can pay for the winter heat and hydro while serving God and offering weekly worship, weddings, funerals, mission outreach and student ministry training- when we find a student minister that is!!
National indigenous People’s day happened this past week on June 21 in Henderson, which is the summer solstice and the longest day of the year.
