Jul 24, 2025
July 13, 1954 - July 12, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Jean Norman on July 12, 2025. Linda passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Linda is survived by her husband Bill (married 53 years), children Jason (Sarah), Greg (Reshelle) and Leslie (Marc), loving grandchildren Brock, Sophie, Jenna, Layne, Riley and Dillan, and bonus grandchildren Vann, Drake and Kane. Sister to Tom Stewart (Rozanne) and only nephew Tyler (Amanda) and niece Mallory (Adam). She also leaves behind great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Linda is predeceased by her parents Charlie and Barbara Stewart.
Linda was the heart of her family - a guiding light whose compassion, laughter, and unconditional love left a deep mark on all of those who knew her. Whether through a listening ear, a warm meal, or a simple smile, Linda made everyone feel seen and cared for.
Linda was deeply committed to her community. She was always ready with helping hands, whether through generous donations, countless hours of volunteering or simply being there when someone needed support. She was especially active throughout her children's and grandchildren's sports and activities - cheering from the stands at hockey, baseball and football games, theatre/plays and volunteering behind the scenes.
Our family would like to express the exceptional care our mom received at the Kingston General Hospital, especially on Connell 9 and Kidd 4—every member of the team was amazing, and their kindness and compassion meant the world to us.
A private service will be held in her honor, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda's memory to the County of Frontenac (Fire and Paramedic Services), and/or Southern Frontenac Community Services.
