May 26, 1966 - July 16, 2025
After a brave battle with glioblastoma Rob slipped quietly and peacefully away on Wednesday July 16. He went on his own terms, in his own home, surrounded by the love of his family and his fur baby Maggie, with some good rock tunes playing to see him off.
He was a loving husband of 30 years to Lisa and adored Dad to Lucas (Alli Newton). He will be forever loved and missed by his Mom Susan, sister Lori, father in law Garfield Ball and his wife Sue, and his brother in law Jeff Ball. He was predeceased by his father Carl, mother in law Carol Ball and brother in law Mike Ball.
Rob was also loved by many friends and his co-workers at South Frontenac Township, so many of whom visited him regularly throughout his illness. His memory will live on through the countless stories of their adventures with Rob throughout the years. Rob's time here may have been shortened by an unbeatable opponent but his life was very well lived. He worked hard, played harder and was a good man.
Rob's family would like to thank everyone for the massive support they received during his illness, we couldn't have done it without you. All the visits, calls, messages, meals and moral support were invaluable and continue to be as we learn to live without such a huge presence. We would also like to thank his entire team for the fantastic medical care he received on this difficult journey. We hope he's riding the Harley with no helmet and we are comforted by knowing that his suffering is over.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
The family will receive visitors at home on Saturday July 26 from 1-5 p.m.
Donations to Sheba's Haven Rescue in Sunbury can be made on line and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
