Shirley passed away after a short battle with cancer. Her children Heidi and her husband Rob Minchin, son Ross and his wife Elizabeth (Barr) are grieving the loss. Shirley is predeceased by her husband of 62 years Robert, her parents Clarence Tooley and Irma (Blackman) and bother John Tooley.
Mom (Maeme) took great pride in her grandchildren Judd and Addie Minchin, Sam and George Sherlock as they have developed into fine young adults. She was an avid quilter, voracious reader and took joy in feeding birds, walking her dogs in the woods and gardening. Her home on Westport Road provided the perfect sanctuary for her later years, but a piece of her heart will always remain on Mackie Lake. Mom faced her illness with dignity and grace, her kind and gentle spirit touched many.
She will be missed.
