Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Frontenac News Grower’s & Maker’s Guide, your comprehensive source for eating, shopping and supporting local, connecting residents and visitors alike to food producers, artisans and farmers and everything local in Frontenac County. People are interested in shopping and supporting local but don’t always know what is available and we hope that this Guide will encourage you to explore everything that Frontenac has to offer! From unique art to farm fresh meat, and everything in between, we are covering it all to introduce you to the diverse abundance available from the Grower’s & Maker’s in our local community. There is a desire to connect, especially in such trying times, and the Guide aims to do just that. Inside you will find everything you need to explore and connect with local businesses and we’ve even left some note pages so you can jot down your favourites. Frontenac County is filled with small local businesses as diverse as its landscape and we encourage you to use this Guide to explore your own backyard and find some of those niche items that might be just around the corner.
