The Frontenac Fury Midget “C” team had an outstanding first tournament of the 2009-2010 hockey season, winning the Midget “C” Championship at the Napanee Crunch Tournament this past weekend.
The team went undefeated throughout the tournament, winning games over Napanee, Brockville and Picton 6-0, 3-0, and 1-0. The girls defeated Brockville in the final game 1-0 to take home top honours.
“This is a great group of young ladies, who among them share a wealth of talent. It is early in the season, but the coaching staff know they have what it takes to make it to Provincials this season.” says Kevin Hitchcock, head coach. “They work well together, and know how to have fun.”
The girls will compete in the Pembroke Silver Stick in December.
