Last week at North Addington, students and staff were split into four teams (N, A, E and C) and participated in school spirit events and theme days. Every day had a different theme: PJ day, Hat Day, Twin Day and, School Colours Day, all with lunch time competitions between students in team houses. Friday was the culmination, and students from grades 9 to 12 participated in an all day games tournament, known as Frosty Friday; day that required skills, teamwork and at times, a sense of humour. Some of the games included a cheer off, tug ‘o war, wheel barrow races, snow leapfrog and the new favourite an all day scavenger hunt! The week was organized by the intrepid Students’ Council: Balatch Rind, Brittainy Buls, Jake Fobert, Christy Lucas, Jordan Hinchey, Janice Scott, Holly Buls and their staff advisor Mr Hasler.
Planning started in December.
The day ended with C house victorious with the highest number of accumulated points over the week. The very successful week was capped off with a school dance which was well attended. Congratulations to North Addington for their wonderful sense of school spirit and teamwork!
