Feature Article - March 13, 2008 Sydenham Car FireBy Wilma KennyAround 2 pm on March 5, a gentleman living at one of the seniors apartments in Sydenham, realizing he hadn't driven his car for a while, decided to take it out for a spin. When smoke began to pourfrom beneath the dash, he pulled overacross the road fromthe Sydenham Food Market, and jumped out. Shortly thereafter, the car was engulfed in flames. The Loughborough fire department quickly arrived and extinguished the fire. No one was injured.
