Feature Article - August 23, 2007Green Party nominates Montpellier
The Green Party of Ontario Constituency Association for Lanark, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington elected Rolly Montpellier as their candidate at a nomination meeting, which took place August 20 at Sharbot Lake.
Formerly from Sudbury, Rolly and his wife Karen moved to the Plevna area in 2005. Rolly’s background includes many years as an education administrator. He served as a school board trustee with Sudbury School Boards from 1985 to 1989 during which he held the position of Board Chair. He was a member of the United Way Campaign committee for seven years. Rolly served as a Board Member with the Laurentian Hospital in Sudbury from 1993 to 1997. During this time, he served as Board Chair and was a member of the health care restructuring task force and the transition team for health care services. Rolly is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Cancer Care Ontario.
Rolly is excited to have the opportunity to represent voters of Lanark, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington and looks forward to the upcoming provincial election.
