Feature Article - August 16, 2007Tichborne resident wipes competition
The Great Toilet Roll Cover Challenge People’s Choice Award, first official competition of the newly founded Land o’ Lakes Artisans’ Guild, was won by Bonnie McLean of Tichborne. Bonnie made her own paper to create the fun, bright, and light-hearted roll-cover which most caught the eye of patrons. Several hundred visitors to Arts by the Lake, held at Sharbot Lake on the Civic Holiday weekend, took the opportunity to vote. The tight competition featured an exceptional range of entries in metal, glass, textile, wood, paper, and clay, showcasing the variety and level of artistic skill resident in the Land o’ Lakes region.
