Feature Article - December 6, 2007 Land o' Lakes Public School Angel FundBy Annette JacksonIn an effort to provide our kids with the bestschool experiencepossible, Land o' Lakes Public School Parent Council has set up a charitable fund. This "Angel Fund" is designed to give kids the extras that make our school their second family. If a child needs winter clothing, a backpack or funding to attend a school trip, this fund is designed to cover those costs that they otherwise might not receive. This fund will not only be used for children in financial need but the enhancement of the school experience for our entire student family through guest speakers, performances or other activities that are prohibitive because of distance or cost as a result of being a rural school. The costs involvedin providingour students with some of the experiences city students receive are not possible with so many school budget cuts. If you are interested in helping to enrich the lives of the students at LOLPS, please contactLand o' Lakes at 613-335-5254to make a charitable donation.
