Abrams Brothers to play the Grand Ole Opry

Canadian musical brother duo, the Abrams Brothers, have been invited to play the Grand Ole Opry on October 29, 2005! At 15 and 12 years of age respectively, John and James Abrams will make their debut with Opry member Mike Snider and his very talented string band. Mike has a reputation for his generosity, particularly in relation to young musicians. As Mike said: "I've helped start lots of young folks out by bringing them on the show. I don't know if it means much to them career wise, but I know it means something in their hearts." The Abrams Brothers will be playing in Nashville throughout the week leading up to their Opry performance, while showcasing at the annual International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) World of Bluegrass Trade Show and Convention. The Boys will also be busy shooting a video in and around Nashville based on their new, soon to be released single "Searching for myself in Tennessee". A recent review in Country Music News of their CD "Carrying On had the following to say about the Boys' future: "This debut album by the Abrams Brothers is about to put a Canadian act in the international bluegrass spotlight. They have already achieved considerable acclaim Stateside with their bluegrass/gospel music, and there's more to come"....The Abrams Brothers co-produced this debut album in Virginia. It is just the beginning of what will surely be a pretty awesome career for John and James Abrams." For these two young fellows from Kingston, Ontario, this opportunity is a dream come true, for which they are deeply appreciative to Mike Snider and others who have helped them along the way.
