In a heartwarming show of support and collaboration, the Frontenac ATV Club recently revved up more than just their engines—they rallied their community to raise funds for a new automated external defibrillator (AED) to keep riders safe on their thrilling trail adventures.
The club teamed up with Rick Wagar of Verona Outfitters, who generously donated a kayak to be raffled off. Locals jumped at the chance to support the cause and maybe win a new ride for the water. When the tickets were drawn, it was Kim Doe who emerged as the lucky winner, paddling away with the prize and knowing her contribution helped serve a greater purpose.
With proceeds going straight towards purchasing the new AED, wardens will now carry the lifesaving device when inspecting the trails, ensuring safety is always riding shotgun.
This initiative came just in time for the club's latest excursion—a spectacular ride to Calabogie that saw 40 adventurers exploring the winding, scenic trails together. With the new AED soon to be in place, future rides can continue to be not just thrilling but even safer for everyone involved.
It’s a reminder that in Frontenac, adventure is best served with a strong dose of community care.
