South Frontenac Township is pleased to announce the return of the Summer Kickoff Music Festival on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Centennial Park in Harrowsmith.
The event will run from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and is free to attend, thanks to the generous support of local sponsors, including our presenting partner Boulton Septic.
The festival will feature a full line-up of live music from some of the region’s top performers, including Wendy Lynn Snider, Crossing Boarders, The Trevor Walsh Group, Rev It Up, River Cats, and Dean James. Headliner Abby Stewart, the 23 year-old country music singer/songwriter, will start her hour-long set at 8:00 pm. Stewart, a native of nearby Kingston, ON, released her most recognized single "Bless Your Heart" in 2022. The song charted within the top 20 on the CBC/ Sirius XM 171 rolling playlist rankings. Stewart has also recorded duets with Canadian music country artists Dean Brody, Dallas Smith and Aaron Pritchett.
In addition to live music, the festival will include a Kids’ Zone, which will be open throughout the event, as well as a variety of local food, drink, and artisan vendors.
“This event is a great opportunity for families and the community to come together before the busy summer season,” says Mayor Ron Vandewal. “With a fo cus on celebrating our local music, food, and beverage industries, we’re proud to showcase the talent and businesses that make South Frontenac a welcoming and thriving rural community.”
Admission to the event is free, however donations will be greatly accepted at the gate to support next year’s festival.
