Shortly after 8pm on January 23, a two-vehicle collision occurred on Road 38 in South Frontenac Township. Two people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening inju-ries. The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene on foot.
After a ground search by the OPP Emergency Response Team, Kingston Police uniform mem-bers and canine units from the OPP and Kingston Police, Andrew Sequin, 34, was located and arrested under multiple charges.
The Loyalist Township resident was charged with: dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm, five counts of operation while prohibited, possession of psilocybin (a Schedule 3 substance) failure to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm, use of a plate not authorized for vehicle, driving while under suspension, failure to remain, failure to report an accident, driving a vehicle without a license, driving a vehicle with alcohol readily available, operating a vehicle without insurance, failure to properly wear a seatbelt.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing on January 24. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded.
