The Third Snow Social is set to take place on Saturday, January 25 from 11 am – 4 pm at The Point Park and throughout the village of Sydenham. Admission is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
“This event is a fantastic chance to reconnect with the community after the busy holiday season," says Mayor Ron Vandewal. "While some may hibernate during winter, here in South Frontenac, we embrace all four seasons. We will be bundled up and ready to make lasting memories together."
Families can expect to spend time outside enjoying classic outdoor winter activities at The Point Park where there will be lots of kids and family games, and snow tubing on the big hill (conditions permitting), food vendors, and more. Families can warm up at Lenny’s Deli while enjoying their special event menu, or at Loughborough Public School where there will be crafts for kids, a vendor fair, face painting, hot chocolate, cozy stories with staff from Kingston Frontenac Public Library, and more.
Free event parking can be found at Loughborough Public School, Sydenham High School, and at The Point Park. Visitors are reminded not to park on the side of the road to allow for through traffic and the wagon rides. Please follow the direction of the parking volunteers, drive slowly throughout the village, and watch for pedestrians.
This community event is proudly brought to life through the collaboration of numerous businesses, clubs, and associations. Hartington Equipment leads as the presenting partner, with additional support from seven other local businesses. The event will feature a variety of activities hosted by several service clubs and recreation associations, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all attendees.
