Did you know that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month? I had the honor of meeting this young mom and her daughter at the Fantasy in the Forest Art Show. "My daughter is wearing the same sunflower dress today that she wore when she "rang the bell" two years ago," she told me, "as a milestone to mark the completion of her cancer treatment." Sunflowers are a symbol used around the world to remind cancer patients there is hope for a brighter future. Mom is wearing a gold colored dress which is the official color for childhood cancer awareness. Their smiles tell the rest of the story.
