On March 3, 2019 at 2:08am, officers from Frontenac Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Battersea Road. At 2:23am, an officer arrived at the scene and spoke to the male driver. As a result of the investigation, Stephen Baker, a 27-year-old male from Kingston was charged with impaired driving and having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood while operating a motor vehicle.

His driver's license was suspended for 90 days and his motor vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. He was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on April 11, 2019.
