December 6, 1938 – February 8, 2025 – Entered into rest peacefully with family by side, at his home.

Floyd, in his 87th year, was the beloved husband of the late carole Shorts. Loving Dad to Lisa and her husband John McLeod, Lorry and his wife Melinda Shorts, and Darren and his wife alex Ronco Shorts. Treasured grandfather to Lesley (Peter), amanda (cory), Mark (Hailey), Ryland (Rebecca), Alyssa (Michaela), and Cole (Bree).

Great-Grandfather of Bennett, and Croia. Dear brother to Edward (Marg), Elmer (Wendy), Dale (Barb), Clifford, and predeceased by Hazel (charlie), Bill (survived by Lorraine), Owen (survived by carmel), and Anna (Dennis).

Floyd will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay, on Thursday, February 13th from 12pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:30pm.

Interment will take place in the spring at Salem Emily cemetery. If desired, a memorial donation can be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters or the Canadian coalition for Firearm Rights, which would be appreciated by the family.
