In loving memory of Daniel J Muth September 30, 1946 - October 28, 2024
Remembered by his beloved wife Pauline (nee Lyford), daughters Katherine (Paolo Ammirante) and Julia (Teddy Franklin) and son Judd.
Dan was born in Watervliet, Michigan, the cherished only child of Donald and Flossie (nee Van Gorder) Muth.
He moved to Canada after attending Expo ‘67 and falling in love with the country, and then shortly afterwards, Pauline. The two shared a love of the outdoors and drove across Canada together and lived for a year in Vancouver, where they married. Dan particularly liked to take backwoods canoeing and camping trips throughout Ontario.
They raised their three children in Mountain Grove, Ontario, on a small hobby farm they bought and worked together. In his life, Dan wore many hats: computer systems analyst, volunteer firefighter, college instructor, mailman, school bus driver, car enthusiast and so many more.
Dan designed and built his own house on the weekends, with help from Pauline, good friends and a few beers. It was in the house he built that he passed away from cancer at the age of 78. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 10 at Olden Hall, Mountain Grove, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
