It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul. Dawn passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth surrounded by her loving family. Dawn will be forever missed by her devoted husband Dave of 61 years. Cherished mother of Teri Harvey (Craig), of Stirling. She will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Michelle (Alex) of Stirling and grandson Jacob (Becky) of Roblin. Loving great-nan of Chloe, Amelia, Annalea and Lawson. Beloved sister of Chuck Perterkin of Parham (Dawn), and the late David Peterkin (Prudy) of Lindsay and all their families. She will be remembered fondly by her extended family Karl Hansen (late Arleen), Sandy Hallam (Pete), Paul Hansen (Tina), Predeceased by Martin Hansen. Special “Extra” sister to the Karen Bird (late Andy), Ann Sutherland (Jon), and Sue Rutherford (Bruce) as well as her Goodfellow Family.
She has touched the lives of many people over the years. We would like to invite friends and family to join us in a Celebration of Dawn’s life on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Verona Lions Hall from 3pm-6pm. Dawn will be laid to rest in the Parham Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations made to Lions Foundation of Canada – Dog Guides would be appreciated by the family.
