Passed away peacefully at the Perth and Smiths Falls Hospital (GWM) on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the age of 92. Daughter of the late George and the late Anabel Monds (Hughes). Devoted wife of the late Harold Burke. Cherished sister of the late Earl Monds (Irene). Beloved stepmother of the late Bruce Burke (Dagmar) the late Gladys Lowery, Ellamae Richardson, Kenneth Burke (Colleen), Sandra Burke (Jim Wilkes) and Roseanne Cadogan (Tony). She will be lovingly remembered by her step grandchildren Matthew Lowery, Steven and Debbie Richardson, Amanda Burke, Ken Burke Jr., Melissa and Jana Burke, Julia Burke, Kyle and Jazlyn Cadogan, as well as 10 step great grandchildren and 1 greatgreat granddaughter Briella Burke. Visitation was held at the Goodfellow’s Funeral Home, Parham on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Funeral Service followed in the chapel officiated by Rev. Vernon Scott. Interment was held in the Arden United Church Cemetery where she was laid to rest beside her parents. Memorial Donations made in Freda’s memory to the Parkinsons Society or the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) would be appreciated by the family.
