It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin Cowdy, but that wasn’t how he was known, to his family, and friends he was Marty or Bear. To the grandkids whether they were blood or not he was Pops or Big Bud.
Marty passed on his own terms but peacefully at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Aug 10 2024 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Kelly Cowdy (Lynd). Loving Father of Melissa Rising and Dusty Cowdy (Danika DeSchutter). Beloved Pops/ Big Bud to Remington, Riddic, Alex, Harley, Skylar and all the other kids that wondered into the yard. Brother to, Lloyd (Cheryl), Art (Carmel), Randy (Debbie), Ivan, and Charlene Hole (Randy). Brother-in-Law to Karl Kalincak(Linda), Michelle Clement (Ed) Cathy Kalincak and a special Earth Angel to Claudia Chytry
Predeased by Phyllis(Mom), Clifford (dad), Ona(mother-in-law) and Martin (father-in-law), Lawrence Clement, Mike Lynd and Larry (John) Kalincak (brotherin-laws), Gabriele Kalincak and Elaine Cowdy (sister-in-laws) Josh Rising (son in law) and Adam Kalincak (nephew).
Fondly remembered and loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 11am Sunday September 1st at the Mountain Grove cemetery and be followed by a celebration of life at the Mountain Grove Community Hall.
