It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ron on July 7,2024 at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario.
Ron graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with his Mechanical Engineering degree in 1963. He spent his whole career working for Dupont of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. After retirement he formed a home renovation business with his wife Jo.
As a young father he coached novice hockey in the Church Athletic League. He was the youth leader and treasurer for fourteen years at the church he attended.
For many years he enjoyed curling with his friends at the Garrison Curling club. He took pleasure in a game of golf with family and friends. He and his wife enjoyed many years of ballroom and square dancing together. He was a volunteer at Martha’s Table as well as a leader in his community on Buck Lake for over thirty years. He sang as part of the bass section of the Kingston Senior Choristers, a 100 voice choir.
He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his wife of 64 years, Josephine, his son’s Trevan (Susanna) Kramer, Mike (Janet) Kramer and daughter Krista Kramer (Troy). He was a loving Grandfather to Bruce, Karina, Greg, Patrick, Nathan, Joshua, Shannon, Cameron, Duncan and 14 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents David and Ruth Kramer and also his brothers Allan and Orville Kramer.
Internment to be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, 2563 Division Street, Kingston, Ontario, for the family on Friday August 30, 2024 @ 2:00pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday September 1, 2024 from 11:00 am, at Ron and Jo’s home on Buck Lake, 1031 Shanny Bear Lane, Perth Road, Ontario.
