Of Ompah ON
April 7, 1947 - January 23, 2024.
Died peacefully at home after a long battle with ill health. Mourned by his long time wife, Cecilia and children Shelley, Cathy, Peter and Carolyn. Predeceased by daughters Jose and Lisa.
Dave was a former North Frontenac Township employee. He loved fishing, and was very active with the Ompah Fish Hatchery project which stocked lakes in the area for many years. He was widely known for his wood carvings – creating beautiful decoys. His original loon design was especially noted.
Thank you to Matthew Osaka from Milestone Funeral Centre for his help at this time
Donations in Dave’s memory can be made to the Ompah Community Hall (c/o Katie Worden, 10393 Rd. 509, Ompah, On., K0H 2J0), or to the Ompah Fire Department, Township of North Frontenac.
