Passed away peacefully at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the age of 83. Devoted wife of the late Harry of almost 63 years. Cherished mother of David Andringa of Flinton, Deb Pope (Richard) of Newmarket and Marguerita Hyland of Brampton. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Andrew, Ashley (Raheem), Corey (Stepha), Sarah-Jane (Sean), Meghan (Nick) and Ryan, as well as her great grandchildren Jazzmyn and Easton. Beloved sister of Willem Groeneveld (Dorothy) of British Columbia, Arijan Groeneveld (Grace) of Quebec, and Marinus Groeneveld (Carol) of Elliott Lake as well as her in-laws Roeli Spence (late Arthur) of Ireland, Gré Van De Kreeke (late Piet) of Holland and Gerrit Andringa (Jouk) of Holland. Predeceased by her parents Marinus and Jansje Groeneveld, sister Grietje Groeneveld and brother-inlaw Jan Andringa (late Sheila). Fimke will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, friends and many other relatives. Visitation will be held at the Milestone Funeral Center on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment in Flinton United Church Cemetery. Memorial donations made to The Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
