Passed suddenly on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Great War Memorial Hospital in Perth.
Recently predeceased by his loving wife of over 63 years, Brenda (Howe) Young. Lovingly remembered by his children, Bob (Rhonda) Young, Paul (Cindy) Young and Pam (Brad) Young and his dear sister Lois (Don) Vilandre.
Predeceased by John and Andy Gingras, with whom he was raised, by his parents Willis and Marion (McKinnon) Young in Zealand, Ontario. Sadly missed by Ken (Sherry) Ashurst and Fred Ashurst whom he considered his brothers. He was the dear grandfather of Dessa and step-grandfather of Carly and Jesse Young and Mackenzie and Ashton Munro and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Goodfellow’s Funeral Home in Parham on Saturday, November 25th beginning at 10 am. Funeral service will be at 1 pm in the chapel with internment to follow at the Oconto cemetery.
All are welcome to join the family for a reception at the Catholic Church Hall in Sharbot Lake (14608 Road 38) from 3 – 5 pm. In remembrance of Bob, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Rural Frontenac Community Services would be appreciated.
