We are sad to announce the passing of Garry John Thompson, at the age of 74, on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Gary will be sadly missed by his Aunt Laura, brother Tim Thompson, sister Elaine Thompson, the Thompson family, cousins Tim, Darlene, Pauline, Joanne and families. Garry was predeceased by his parents Leila and Jack Thompson. Garry was born in Timmons, Ontario. After graduation he joined the army for 3 years. He then worked 15 years for Dome Mines in Timmons. Garry moved to Harlowe in 1994. Garry loved playing his guitar and singing at summer get-to-gethers, at his long time friends Ann and Ray’s. He immensely enjoyed the time spent with friends and staff at Pine Meadows Nursing Home. As per Garry’s wishes, family and friends are invited to the interment service at the Harlowe Cemetery, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. Any donations in memory of Garry can be made to Pine Meadows Nursing Home, 124 Lloyd St., Northbrook, Ontario, K0H 2G0.
