Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the age of 82. Lloyd will be forever missed by his devoted wife Lorna (nee Heggart) of 60 years. Cherished father of Lorna Lea Behm (Clinton) of Denbigh. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather of Alanna Peacock (Jordan), Carter, Colby and Ella. Beloved brother of Donna Kauffeldt (late Edmon) of Renfrew, William Burgess (Barbara) of Carp and Doreen Burgess of Mattawa, as well as sister-in-law Fern Tully (Glen) of Cloyne. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Jean Burgess (nee Langman) as well as his in-laws Wilfred and Alice Heggart, and siblings Fred (Muriel), Norris (late Elsie), Irene Malcolm (late Ken), Gladys Platz (Phillip), Beatrice Jackson (late Floyd) and Elwood (Patricia) as well as brother-in-law Colin Heggart.
Lloyd had a passion for hunting and thoroughly enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment operator. His favourite thing to do was operate the Bulldozer. Lloyd lived for his family and would do anything for them. They truly were his whole world. He couldn’t be happier than when he was spending time with his great-grandchildren. Lloyd was truly one of a kind. He was the sweetest, kindest man who had a heart of gold. He treated everyone as if they were family and left an unforgettable impression on everyone he interacted with. Lloyd truly is irreplaceable to his entire family and we will forever miss him.
