Peacefully entered into rest at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, Perth Site on Thursday August 17th, 2023. Betty (Solar) Johnston of Perth and formerly of Ardoch age 81 years. Beloved wife of Eddy Johnston of Ardoch. Loving mother of Kathy Davis (John) of Kitchener, Penny Hawley (Harvy) of Ardoch, Bill Johnston (Lisa) of Mallorytown, Chuck Johnston of Ardoch and Laura Johnston of Athens.
Cherished grandmother of Brent (Kimberley), Justin (Nicole), John Michael (Katy), Christopher, Ashley (Andrew), Samantha (Chris) and William (Breanna) and great grandmother to 19. Dear daughter of the late Geneva (Jobson) and Wallace Solar; and loving sister of Ida Bisonett, Eleanor Kennedy and the late Arthur, Peggy and Judy. Betty will also be missed by nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to Thank all the staff at Lanark Lodge, the staff at the lodge always went above and beyond to make sure Betty felt heard and supported.
There will be a Graveside Service for family at a later date. In memory of Betty, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family.
