Passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Beloved husband of Stella for 59 years, and caring father of Debra Porter (David Bisnaire). Dear brother of Ann Howes (John Mouck), Beverly Howes (Edward Chodowski), and the late Arleen Hansen (Karl). Doug was predeceased by his parents Arthur Porter and Doreen Porter Howes. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Doug was born in Westport, then lived in Parham, Toronto, Brampton and Winnipeg before coming back to the area to retire in Napanee, he was a proud employee of CP Rail for 40 years.
Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. with reception to follow. For those of you unable to attend the service in person you are able to watch the service live by Zoom.
