Donald James Hollington, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2021, surrounded by family at his home on Dog Lake, in Battersea, Ontario after a short yet courageous battle with lung cancer.
Don was born on May 18th, 1949, in Exeter, Ontario to Margaret Rita (Mabel) Paul and Raymond Claude Hollington. Born into a military family, he spent much of his childhood in Ottawa, Ontario.

Never one to sit still, upon retirement, Don opened a seafood restaurant in Kingston aptly titled “The Captain’s Plate”. His next project became the dream renovation of his idyllic lake house on Dog Lake nestled in Battersea, Ontario.
