Gerry is now cracking aces in the big game upstairs. He passed away peacefully at KHSC surrounded by his loved ones after a long and courageous battle. Gerry leaves behind his wife Barb, his son Scott (Martina) daughter Kylie (Steven Bellissimo), and his beloved first grandson Sawyer. He is predeceased by his parents Vernon and Rose. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters (both by birth and by marriage), nieces and nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. Gerry loved the outdoors, animals, and playing cards. More than anything, he loved his family. Gerry’s strength and resilience was an inspiration to all who knew him. The Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated on Friday, November 22, at 2:00 pm at St. Patrick’s Church- 3977 Sydenham Road, followed by internment at St. Patrick’s cemetery. A reception will be held afterwards at the McAllister home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Foundation. Gerry spent many happy hours on his motorcycles, AT V’s and snowmobiles in this area.
