Peacefully, with his family by his side at the Pine Meadow Nursing Home on Friday, February 15, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Leta Hayes. Proud father of Bill (the late Fern) of Flinton, Jim (Virginia) of Marlbank, Edna (Marty) Lessard of Flinton and Kevin (Donna) of Flinton. Pre-deceased by his son Carman and grand-daughter Michelle. Jim will be sadly missed by his daughterin-law Heather Hayes of Northbrook. Grampa will always be cherished in the hearts of his grandchildren Sherry (Ken), Angie (Tony), Carl (Lois Ann), Lisa, Tanya (Steven), Crystal (Chris), James (Sheila), John (Natalie), Matthew (Jessica), Bethany (Daly), Nicole (Brad), Stephen (Alexis) and by his 12 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his brothers George, Fred, Ed, Frank and his sisters Eliza, Luella Sweet and Madeline Hayes. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jim’s family will receive friends at the Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook on Tuesday evening from 6-9pm and Wednesday from 12-1pm. The Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 1:00pm. Spring interment at the Northbrook Cemetery.
