It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Lu Van Ness. Lu passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Napanee General Hospital in her 87th year. Lu is predeceased by her mother Ethel Lloyd Van Ness, her father Peter Van Ness her step father Louis Van Ness, her brothers Donald, Harold and Nelson, her sisters Mary Vernon. and Rita Van Ness. She is survived by her sister Myrtle Kesyer. Lu will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and her Personal Support Workers Iris Berry and Tereasa Kennedy. She had a special place in her heart for her best friends Dave Shotton, his wife Cathy, his daughter Nikky, his sons Gary, and Jason. A celebration of Lu’s life will take place at the Milestone Funeral Center 11928 Highway 41 Northbrook Ontario on Friday, September 29th from 7 to 9 pm and again on Saturday, September 30th from 10 to 11 am. Service will be held at 11:00 am. Friends desiring may contribute in her memory to the Alzheimers Society of Canada. Online condolences at www.milestonefuneralcenter.com
