A congratulatory mention to Eva Ball on her recent retirement and she wrote up a note as follows:
"Special thank you, Robert & Lucille Ball, for providing me the opportunity of driving a school bus for Ball Bus Lines! Over these past 10 years, I have developed many wonderful friendships with parents, students, grandparents, teachers, principals and so many more; it's been an absolute joy!
To my wonderful husband Harold who has prepared meals, and taken care of so many other household duties, I give many thanks!
I am grateful for my family who supported me 100% and fellow bus drivers, June Minnie, and Nicki Gowdy, for their constant encouragement!
I will continue to send prayers for bus driver safety, as often, we were caught in very stressful driving conditions!
Special thanks to Emmy Soudant, who trained me and gave me my first bus-driving job!
Again, to Nicki Gowdy, for her unconditional love and support and Robert & Lucille Ball, as mentioned before, for everything!
It's been a wonderful, exciting journey and I miss everyone already!
I don't know what my future holds, but I know "Who" holds my future, my "Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" and without "Him" I would not have made it this far."
