If you are looking for a concert with a warm community atmosphere, why not try An Evening of Voices and Bells.  Each year, the Tay Valley Community Choir presents a Christmas concert creating this warmth with delightful music. The year promises to uphold that tradition.  Under the leadership of Ann McMahon, the choir will present an eclectic, upbeat, cheerful evening of song with special guest artists.

The Tay Valley Community Choir is a group of strong singers who joyfully create beautiful music together. They have performed in many events around the area including The Stewart Park Festival, Festival of Good Cheer and opening for the Centennial Choir of Ottawa and Garnet Rogers, the iconic Maritime singer/songwriter.

This year the choir is delighted to be reunited with The Hummdingers (St. Paul's United Church Handbell Choir).  These choirs have shared a concert several times and it has always been an amazing event.  Each choir will play and sing songs from their Christmas repertoire.  Then the audience is in for a treat when the two choirs join in performing a few songs.  Together these voices and bells have proven that they produce an extraordinarily beautiful sound.  Additional musical guests will be the St. Paul’s Spirit Band.  This enthusiastic group of fine musicians will add another layer to the evening.  The audience will get into the act as they are invited to sing along with familiar carols.

The Evening of Voices and Bells will be held at the Maberly hall on Saturday, December 5 at 7PM. Admission is $5, with children under five admitted free. Donations to the Food Bank are welcomed. Refreshments will be served following the concert as audience and artists mingle to share this celebration of music and community.
