The Blue Jeans Classical music series is proud to announce the concert of the talented duo of Gertrude Létourneau, flutist and Catherine Donkin, pianist, on Sunday, October 14th at 2pm at the MERA Schoolhouse in McDonald’s Corners.
Ms. Donkin is an active teacher and performer in Ottawa, whose performance career has seen her perform at Carnegie Hall and at the Grieg International Piano Competition. Along with her busy career in her private piano teaching studio, she teaches Performance at Carleton University and performs regularly with chamber music groups.
Gertrude Létourneau is both a flutist and a singer and has performed right across Canada. She performs regularly in Ottawa and area, including concerts at the National Arts Centre and the Canadian War Museum. She has received training in Ottawa, Montreal and London, England where she obtained a Licentiate in Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
The duo will be presenting an all-French music concert, with interesting and challenging pieces from composers such as Debussy, Ravel, and Fauré.

Tickets are $28 at the door. Children under 16 are free.
