Thirty nine floats were booked in to the Sharbot Lake evening parade on December 14, marking a fitting end to a parade season in Frontenac County and Addington Highlands.
The season was kicked off back on November 23rd in Northbook. Parades in Plevna, Sydenham, Battersea, Burridge, and a nighttime event in Denbigh have followed, resulting in a busy stretch for Santa.
The season has also included concerts throughout the region, highlighted by a number of choir recitals, more craft and vendor sales than anyone could get to if they tried, and two winter farmer’s markets. With Christmas now approaching, attention is turning to family events and Christmas services for those who attend church, and community Christmas dinners.
