Shop Local - For Value and Much More

Supporting local, it just feels good. But it’s so much more then that. When you shop local, whether its for groceries or gifts, you are supporting your neighbour, someone that lives in right in your community. We could list off all of the reasons its important to frequent your local stores and businesses but essentially what is comes down to is fostering and nurturing a connection to community. Being able to talk to the person that raised your chicken or painted the landscape hanging in your kitchen is a luxury that is often undervalued and unappreciated. In Frontenac County we are fortunate to have an abundance of diverse local businesses that engage with not only customers but with each other creating a resilient, ambitious and supportive community that has only grown stronger over the past 2 years. Our small local businesses need us and now is the time to show them how much we also need them.

We hope you use this Guide to discover something new, or revisit an old favourite, but however you do remember to support your local small business, restaurant, grower, maker and everything in-between!
